If you live in the UK and want good quality bo, hanbo, jo,etc then take a look at Nine Circles. I recently bought a white oak hanbo from there and its fantastic quality. Very good grain and very solid. I’m planning on restocking on their white oak bo.

Another problem I’m having is the clashing with ju jutsu and ken jutsu.  If I’m doing a 5 or 6 day split then its [...]

Kenjutsu

It was fantastic and the hakama is no longer quite as confusing.  I posted the other day about not having a clue how to wear one but after being shown the way to tie the knots properly I was fully kitted up.
We did 3 main katas of the school I’m in: Enshin Ryu.
I can’t go [...]

Harsh Few Days (Days 27-29)

The past few days have been pretty painful.  For some reason this lay off week is becoming a serious necessity as opposed to a planned relaxation.
On Tuesday (Day 27) I had a Ju Jutsu class which resulted in me feeling like road kill.  I’ve never normally felt as bad as I did that day and [...]
